Returner Programmes

Returner programmes, like everything, were affected by the pandemic, but have got back on a more even footing since. So, at a time of labour shortages across the economy, what is the latest thinking on how to develop and upscale them?

This roundtable, to  be held in September 2022 will bring together pioneering organisations that have initiated and developed their returner programmes. The aim is to help other organisations do the same and share best practice and learnings.

  • Programme make-up – what does a successful programme look like? Looking at initial development of a programme through to upscaling.
  • Onboarding – how has Covid changed the way organisations onboard. What is the most effective way of reaching the right candidates? What are the most common barriers to those applying and how have organisations tackled this.
  • Ongoing Support – initiatives to ensure returners are supported and developed to ensure high retention rates and ensure candidates meet their full potential.
  • Review and evaluation – how best to review and evaluate to ensure a programme is developed in the right way.
