Multigenerational teams are good for business; they bring a wealth of different viewpoints and insights. Over 50s are a valuable part of this multi-generational workforce and contribute a wealth of experience. With an ageing workforce and labour shortages, this demographic will become increasingly dominant and important (by 2025 one in three workers will be 50 or over).

Join us during National Older Workers Week where we will be sharing the latest insights and best practice to ensure employers have the right policies and procedures in place that both attract and retain older workers and ensure your organisation is age diverse. We will also be holding an online Career Fair for jobseekers with expert advice and the opportunity to hear from age-friendly employers.

Theme of 2024: How Employers Can Support Longer working lives

With concerns high about skills shortages and business being lost as a result and about the number of older and younger people who are economically inactive, we look at the role employers can play in supporting longer working lives.

Join us for our event on the 27th November 2024 where we will joined by Top Employer that are pioneers in this area, Centre for Ageing Better and Professor Philip Taylor to cover:

1. Creating the the right environment: 5 areas necessary for success
2. Towards good work: the key to good job design
3. A working lifecycle approach to work. How to support employees through major life changes and take an intersectional approach.
4. How can companies support people in manual roles to transition into new careers that they can do for longer.
5. What management training is needed to support a multi-generational workforce. What qualities should leaders cultivate to create a positive work environment?
6. How can organisations measure and track the effectiveness of their inclusivity efforts?
