As organisations ensure diversity and inclusion is top of their agendas, we take a look at how businesses can benefit from neurodiverse teams.

On the 23rd March 2021, we were joined by Prof Simon Baron Cohen, an international expert in autism and author of The Pattern Seekers: A New Theory of Human Invention, our sponsor Roche, HR and Diversity leads and other experts in this field at an invitation-only Round Table Series event. The white paper that documented the discussion is now available.

Areas covered included:

1. The business benefits of neurodiverse teams: making the case

2. Recruitment – does the assessment process need to change? What about outreach, case studies, etc?

3. Managing neurodiverse teams – including support for line managers and issues around flexible working

4. Career progression – including training, having a range of career pathways, mentoring, sponsorship and inclusion within employee-led groups
